【研究旨趣】
我的醫療人類學研究,主要是從疾病的角度切入,例如愛滋病、吸毒、或痲瘋病等,去分析當代社會變遷的本質與傾向,以及身處變遷中的個人生命經驗與轉型。此外,我也從公共衛生史的面向,去理解如國家或市場等外力、制度在此變遷中所扮演的角色。目前的研究地點以中國四川省涼山州彝族地區為主,未來也計畫進行以台灣都市為主的研究課題。
