Job Opening for Social Scientist

The Social Research Division of the Sun Yat-Sen Institute for Social Sciences and Philosophy (ISSP) at Academia Sinica has a tenure-track research position available, rank open. Fields of specialization are limited to (1) social welfare; (2) social policy; (3) sociology; or (4) social psychology. The Social Research Division encourages multi-disciplinary research efforts. Applicants with interdisciplinary research training and experience from the above fields will be given preference in filling this research position. The applicant needs to have a Ph.D. in social welfare, social policy, sociology, or social psychology when beginning the appointment, and the applicant is expected to speak Mandarin Chinese fluently. Ph.D. candidates expecting to complete the degree in the near future are also welcome to apply. The deadline for application is September 30, 2002.
